Position Overview:
As a key member of the Lakes Regional Community Center team, the Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist will work under the guidance of the ECI Program Director. This role involves planning and delivering essential services to eligible participants of the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program across multiple counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide early intervention services to children and families in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for children aged 0-3 years.
- Develop individualized service plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Offer assistive technology services and physical therapy interventions.
- Facilitate transitions to local educational programs and document all services rendered.
Travel Requirements:
This position necessitates extensive travel within eight counties, including but not limited to client home visits and transportation for families as needed. A personal vehicle or a center-owned vehicle will be utilized for this purpose.
Qualifications:
- An Associate degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Must hold a valid license as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas.
- Ability to produce accurate documentation promptly and communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community service agencies.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
- Experience working with children who are developmentally delayed or have specific developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of ECI philosophy and pediatric physical therapy practices.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from $61,921.00 to $89,000, depending on qualifications.
