Calling All Cybersecurity Professionals

Cyber assets are increasingly under threat from a diverse array of attacks. These threats are becoming more sophisticated, widespread, and rapid.

Northrop Grumman is looking for a dedicated Associate Cybersecurity Analyst in the Baltimore area, eager to gain and apply enterprise-wide experience to ensure the security, reliability, and availability of various systems/platforms in support of our nation's defense.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting assessments of systems and networks within the operational environment.
  • Identifying deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policies, or local regulations.
  • Supporting program and operational requirements, including documentation and asset inventory.
  • Performing compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Enforcing stringent program control processes to mitigate risks and support system certification.
  • Assisting with security certification tests, documentation, software research, and audits.
  • Aiding in the implementation of required government Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies.
  • Making recommendations for process improvements and participating in documentation activities.
  • Analyzing established security controls and recommending additional safeguards.
  • Supporting formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processes required by government authorities.
  • Assisting with Assessment and Authorization activities, including all RMF Body Of Evidence documentation.
  • Working under direct supervision and contributing to project milestones.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with no experience; OR an Associate's degree with 2 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification (or higher) (e.g., Security+ CE) is required.
  • Candidates must possess a current DOD Secret level security clearance, including a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity or Computer Science is preferred.
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification (or higher).
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and related risk management processes.
  • Frequent application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.

Salary Range: $68,800 - $103,200. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results.
