Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Hillcrest Extended Care Services. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respiratory Care: Provide respiratory care services to residents, including mechanical ventilation, weaning, and airway management.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess and evaluate residents' respiratory status, develop and implement care plans, and monitor residents' response to therapy.
  • Diagnostic Studies: Perform diagnostic studies, including arterial blood gas acquisition and interpretation, nocturnal pulse oximetry, and pulse oximetry with exercise.
  • Cardiac Arrest Response: Respond to cardiac arrests, provide Basic Life Support, and maintain emergency protocols.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean ventilators and adjunctive equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
