Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. In this school-based role, you will provide essential services to students with speech and language disorders, helping them to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students, and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and outcomes, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on student goals and progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Virginia.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and educational staff.
