Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance new tools as well as improve existing surveillance and monitoring solutions for the compliance sector.
  • Create solutions utilizing Python, Hadoop, Spark, and HIVE/SQL.
  • Engage in projects that necessitate extensive expertise in Python and Spark, delivering tailored solutions for big data efficiently.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in software application development using an object-oriented programming language.
  • Strong experience in object-oriented design and implementation, along with substantial big data expertise.
  • At least three (3) years of recent hands-on experience with Python and Spark technologies.
  • Familiarity with HIVE/SQL is highly advantageous.
  • A willingness to engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset coupled with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure in a dynamic team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills across various disciplines, including technology, support, and business teams.
  • Knowledge of financial services or market dynamics is a plus.
