POSITION DESCRIPTION

Transform client requirements into detailed drawings utilizing floor plans, quotations, and purchase orders; assist in the development of new products, revise existing designs; generate standard models, and implement any modifications based on customer preferences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and apply standard and custom product lines and methods of sheet metal fabrication to technical drawings.
  • Resolve issues with fellow CAD Drafters regarding specific projects and equipment inquiries.
  • Create comprehensive drawings of equipment using CAD software.
  • Reference similar drawings previously completed by the company to aid in the creation of new products.
  • Engage with clients to clarify inquiries regarding equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of the models.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in drafting from a recognized Technical School.
  • At least 1 year of experience or a combination of education and training.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in CAD software.
  • Prior experience working with stainless steel materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

ABILITIES

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Proven proficiency in various drafting software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Skilled in precise measurement techniques.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role. The position requires the ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently, and the employee must be able to see, hear, speak, walk, bend, reach, and stand. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
