About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office. This project will provide services to include programmatic/business management, engineering support, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition/administrative support to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain an organization's data and information security.
  • Identify vulnerabilities within systems, resolve them, and respond to cybersecurity breaches.
  • Work closely with cybersecurity engineers to provide feedback and insight into how systems can be improved.
  • Identify and fix vulnerabilities within existing security systems.
  • Perform penetration tests or work directly with penetration testers to assess potential security problems.
  • Develop organization-wide security measures.
  • Document known security breaches and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide feedback to cybersecurity engineers to improve proposed or existing systems.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest information technology (IT) and cybersecurity developments.
  • Conduct audits to determine security violations or vulnerabilities.
  • Implement security controls.
  • Upgrade networks to cohere with industry best practices.
  • Research, test, and implement security technology.
  • Develop firewalls for network infrastructure.
  • Grant privileges to users based on their needs and use cases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience in information assurance, information security, or cybersecurity.
  • Experience in cross-domain solutions, program management, and leadership.
  • Cybersecurity certification in a DoD Directive.
  • Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in working for or supporting the NSA.
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems.
  • Past experience working in C5ISR and CSIA.
