Position Summary and Qualifications
The Critical Care Nurse is responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. This role involves collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, document, and report any symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining precise and thorough records.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess the patient's condition.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment options, and care for patients across various age groups.
- Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
- Utilize the nursing process to tailor care to meet individual patient needs.
- Exhibit the ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS and PALS certifications within one year of employment.
- CPI certification within six months of employment.
