Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and cleared Senior Principal Systems Architect to design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems development and design, with expertise in logic design, I/O design, firmware development, and computer architecture analysis and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Plan upgrades of operating systems and design systems enhancements
  • Develop documentation on new or existing systems
  • Develop and conduct tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems
  • Provide system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance

  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and instructors

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of VMWare software and VMWare ESX Servers
  • Thorough knowledge of NetApp encryption equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of VLANs, RAID
  • Experience configuring HP3000
  • Experience with Xen Desktop
  • Experience with virtual machines/servers, NetApp Snapshots, Virtual Center site clusters
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange/Outlook 2016
  • CCNA certification

  • Years of Experience Required: 16+
  • Education Level/Major: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Equivalent Experience may be Substituted for Educational Requirement
Security Clearance

Must have TS/SCI security clearance with Poly on day one of employment and must be eligible for crossover.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $105,000 USD - $221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
