Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury, preparing and positioning patients, and administering contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal guidelines.
  • Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification, or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography.
  • Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
