Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Altoona Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

• Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient conditions.
• Assisting Veterinarians: Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, such as surgeries, dental procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Lab and Pharmacy: Perform laboratory tests, prepare medications, and maintain accurate records.
• Client Communication: Provide excellent client communication, including answering questions, providing education, and addressing concerns.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field.
• Licensure: State Department of Regulation Licensing required.
• Skills: Proficiency in laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
