Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Williamson Health, located in Franklin, Tennessee. As a Medical Oncology Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of providing world-class healthcare services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing nursing care for patients with various medical conditions, including oncology cases. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care planning, effective communication, and a supportive healing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying individual needs and developing personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans, administer medications, and perform procedures as required.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring seamless communication among team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and policies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A current RN license in the State of Tennessee.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in medical oncology or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Oncology certifications, such as ONS chemo/immunotherapy, are highly desirable.
