We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hemodialysis Technician to join our team in the New England region. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Job Summary:The Hemodialysis Technician will be responsible for assisting patients with hemodialysis treatments, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process. You will work closely with our registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Assist patients with hemodialysis treatments, including setting up and operating dialysis machines
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- Prepare patients for treatment, including drawing blood samples and performing venipuncture
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and outcomes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably in hemodialysis or nephrology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods
Estimated salary range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement savings plan.
