Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform radiographic procedures, communicate with patients, and work effectively with physicians and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist and communicate with Radiologists, and prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
