About the Role:

Siemens Industry, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and coordinating the factory supplier quality program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure their quality standards align with Siemens' requirements.
  • Identify technical problems with suppliers, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate supplier quality records and databases, monitoring supplier quality performance and reporting results to management.
  • Participate in strategic supplier development and lead multiple projects to completion.
  • Monitor engineering changes and coordinate with engineering and process quality engineers for approvals, ensuring timely execution of vendor PPAPs (Product Part Approval Process).
  • Support production, incoming inspection, and warranty departments in resolving supplier issues, communicating with suppliers to resolve non-conformances, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support the development and maintenance of supplier quality metrics and reports.
  • Monitor, communicate, and track suppliers' deviations to ensure corrections are implemented before the deviation expires.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to ensure the successful introduction of new products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to conduct supplier audits and assessments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using an ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, root cause, and corrective action techniques.
  • Ability to inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, utilizing various inspection tools and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in quality tools and techniques, such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Internal auditor certification.
