Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair heavy machinery, trucks, and service vehicles
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and policies
  • Perform inspections and diagnostic assessments on vehicles and equipment; identify and rectify any worn or damaged components.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Execute preventive maintenance procedures that align with or exceed industry standards.
  • Maintain shop equipment according to operational guidelines; troubleshoot and coordinate repairs; manage inventory of supplies.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Perform lubrication and maintenance of components during service.
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Complete necessary documentation using fleet maintenance software for repairs, parts usage, and repair time tracking.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies, following established safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate self-motivation
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems and diesel vehicles
  • Experience with MIG and stick welding techniques
  • Possession of personal hand tools is required
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and best practices
  • Proficiency in cutting with torches and plasma cutters
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Physical capabilities: standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements, with the ability to work in various weather conditions.
