Technical Agronomist

Agriland FS is seeking a highly skilled Technical Agronomist to provide technical agronomy support to our employees, local farmers, and landowners. This role will work closely with our agronomy and location teams to develop and present training programs that educate employees on sound agronomic knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present training programs on soil fertility, crop protection, and plant growth and development.
  • Organize trial and research information throughout the Agriland FS territory.
  • Execute on-farm research, including data collection and management information.
  • Provide professional diagnostic support for in-field agronomy concerns.
  • Promote management practices and a systems approach to address production and productivity goals.
  • Monitor agronomic and conservation practice performance.
  • Build relationships and answer questions as a technical agronomy expert for Agriland FS.
Requirements:
  • Masters in Agronomy and 3 or more years of agronomic technical support related work experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of agronomy and environmental sciences with a strong background in soil science.
  • Currently holds or has the ability to become a Certified Crop Advisor.
  • Proven professional communication skills, customer service, interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Demonstrate planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed, make decisions, and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
