The Respiratory Therapist is a critical member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients. As a Respiratory Therapist at Holmes Regional Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing respiratory care to patients in various settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care, including assessment, treatment, and education to patients with respiratory disorders.
- Initiate and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including troubleshooting and discontinuation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Be a good steward of hospital equipment and supplies, ensuring efficient use and maintenance.
Requirements
- Current license by State of Florida, Department of Health, as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP required if working in specific environments.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
