Job SummaryThe Medical Observation Specialist will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care, maintaining standards of nursing care and implementing policies and procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, basic employment knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Assist RNs with patient care duties, including vital sign monitoring and charting.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Utilize medical terminology and computer skills to document patient information.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- GNA/CNA licensure and CPR certification from AHA.
- Basic computer skills, medical terminology, and familiarity with Synquest.
