Job Summary

This role involves performing mechanical and cosmetic repairs on vehicles according to strict quality standards. You will interact with customers during repairs, manage parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your responsibilities may also include supporting store operations and sales by assessing vehicle conditions and preparing vehicles for delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and cosmetic repairs on vehicles according to quality standards.

  • Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate records.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to CarMax 5S standards.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASE certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), and Engine Performance (A8).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $25.30-$38.00 per hour, as well as comprehensive benefits packages that include paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Full-time associates are eligible for up to 48 hours of sick time and between 80-200 hours of vacation time per year, depending on years of continuous service. We also offer paid holidays, floating holidays, and bereavement leave.
