About the Role

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting our cardiologists, and delivering outstanding customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate care to our clients and patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
  • Assist our cardiologists with medical procedures, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and administering medications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, referring veterinarians, and other team members to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform venipuncture, take radiographs, and assist with electrocardiograms, as needed.
  • Administer oral medications and assist with surgical/interventional procedures.
  • Assist with patient triage, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their pet's health, providing education and support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with client service representative tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a veterinary assistant, desirable but not required.
  • Computer knowledge required, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Drive/Sheets/Docs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
