Key Responsibilities
  • Support Corporate Objectives: Drive expectations, ensure safety, quality, and production KPIs/metrics are being met.
  • Ensure Safety: Make safety the highest priority on site(s); strive for continual improvement in compliance with federal, state, and company directives.
  • Lead by Example: Coach and develop management team centered around Cathcart Rail's core values of Safety, Quality, and Integrity.
  • Support a Positive Customer Experience: Focus on continuous improvement in all areas of site management, including prompt communication, accurate information, and consistent delivery.
  • Financial Stewardship: Participate in the financial stewardship for the directed facilities, including cost management and P&L review.
  • Implement Companywide Programs: Ensure companywide programs, policies, and procedures are implemented effectively within directed sites.
  • Coordinate Resources: Coordinate internal and external resources as needed to provide Team Member training, endeavor for efficiency improvements, and reduce quality non-conformances.
  • Training and Development: Responsible for the training and development of employees and supervisors while improving their own strategic skills and abilities in preparation for a future leadership assignment.
Requirements
  • Education: Preference for Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience: At least five plus (5+) years minimum experience required in an operations or heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory Experience: Three (3+) years minimum of successful supervisory or management experience with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to run a successful operation, translate strategies into operation objectives, and projects.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, self-motivated with excellent teamwork.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Effective use of standard office computer technology such as databases, word processing, ERP, and reporting systems.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of General Accounting Principles and effective accounting controls.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel frequently across the entire Cathcart Rail network to further their development and must be relocatable on a temporary or permanent basis.
