Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a vital role in the patient care process by performing moderate and high-complexity testing, analyzing and reviewing test results, and implementing effective solutions when corrective action is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including moderate and high-complexity testing
- Analyze and review test results to ensure accuracy and quality
- Implement effective solutions to resolve testing issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with other laboratory professionals to achieve quality and productivity goals
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related field
- One year of laboratory training or experience performing high-complexity testing
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment and software
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience performing high-complexity testing within the area of specialty
