Role Overview

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the entirety of the roofing project, ensuring that it is executed safely, on schedule, and within financial constraints. Key responsibilities include collaborating with subcontractors, managing timelines, monitoring quality assurance, resolving disputes, and ensuring adherence to regulations and safety protocols. This role also involves regular communication with stakeholders and may include participation in the recruitment and training of team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Directing daily operations on roofing sites, ensuring tasks are completed according to project specifications.
  • Timeline Coordination: Developing and managing project timelines to guarantee timely project delivery.
  • Financial Oversight: Tracking project expenditures, managing budgets, and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Verifying that all work meets established quality standards, conducting inspections, and rectifying any issues.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinating subcontractor activities, scheduling their tasks, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Safety Management: Implementing safety measures, conducting inspections, and addressing safety issues to uphold a secure work environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary contact for stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
  • Issue Resolution: Identifying and addressing challenges that arise during the project, such as design modifications or material shortages.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, zoning laws, and other legal requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Guiding and motivating project teams, offering support to ensure effective collaboration towards project objectives.
  • Documentation Management: Keeping precise records of project activities, including progress reports and communications with stakeholders.
  • Client Interaction: Fostering positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction with the final outcome.
  • Continuous Learning: Staying updated with industry trends by attending workshops and reviewing relevant publications.
  • Data Management: Uploading all necessary information into shared project management software.
  • Additional Duties: Performing other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry with a successful track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant safety standards.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with various roofing systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
