Job Summary

Cardiac Catheterization Nurse Opportunity

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization team. As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and care of patients undergoing transesophageal echo (TEE), cardioversions, cardiac and vascular procedures, including percutaneous coronary intervention (PTCI) and percutaneous vascular intervention under moderate sedation.
  • Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies, demonstrating knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively for cardiac patients, utilizing appropriate hand-off of care amongst healthcare providers.
  • Document patient care according to department standards, providing education and discharge planning to patients and their families.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certifications within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NH Licensed Registered Nurse or valid compact state RN License.
  • Associates degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • At least 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience preferred.
