Job Summary

You will serve as a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist in the Piping/Mechanical Fabrication/Installation/Testing Division of Naval Sea Systems Command.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute all elements of the Contract Administration Quality Assurance Program (CAQAP).
  • Ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products and services.
  • Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and occupational specialization.
  • Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
  • Plan for new or modified contracts, including coordination of resource needs with the appropriate Program Coordinator for the assembly and coordination of a contract review team.
  • Review the results received from in-process inspections and statistical techniques used for evaluations.
  • Maintain a current quality profile by conducting on-site audits and surveillance of installation, fabrication, and testing activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing factual data, discussing methods used, problems analyzed, and stating conclusions and recommendations.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Performing quality assurance work, conducting audits and surveillance of installation, fabrication, or testing activities on ships.
