Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services

Our client in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to support building services. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, including low/medium voltage power distribution, standby/emergency generators, interior/exterior lighting, local area IT networks, access control, security, and fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Perform site surveys to assess existing system conditions and ensure seamless integration with new designs.
  • Develop electrical systems, including low/medium voltage power distribution, standby/emergency generators, interior/exterior lighting, local area IT networks, access control, security, and fire alarm systems.
  • Review electrical documents for conflicts with other building systems.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design consistency.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of industry and national codes and standards, including NEC, Life Safety Code NFPA 101, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and International Building Code.
  • Experience with system design software, CADD, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and management skills.
