Job Title: Technician 3

At Amentum, we are seeking a highly skilled Technician 3 to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex technical duties, including the fabrication, assembly, test, troubleshooting, analysis, evaluation, modification, and operation of complex electrical and electronic circuits and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist higher-level technicians and engineers in the performance of their work, consistent with your background and training.
  • Perform operational tests and adjustments of complex electrical and electronic equipment using standard test set-ups in accordance with printed or generally accepted test procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory records, as appropriate.
  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, wire lists, waveforms, and diagnostic results, and relate them to overall equipment or systems functions.
  • Make complex repairs, including replacement of components parts.
  • Fabricate and assemble complex components in accordance with precise detailed instructions in a repetitive and consistent manner.
  • Perform research on parts or equipment as required to assist engineering staff.
  • May lead entry-level assembly, production, and testing functions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency using laboratory hand tools, test equipment, and computer-operated facility equipment.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or military technical training program, or completion of a technical institute program.
  • Experience directly related to work as an electronics technician.
  • Experience directly related to Engineering Technology or a related field, or military technical training may be substituted in lieu of an Associate's Degree, military technical training, or completion of a technical institute program.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
