Job Summary

The Critical Care Float Pool Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. This role requires the ability to perform specific competencies, demonstrate age-specific knowledge of human growth and development, and ensure the privacy of patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI).

Responsibilities
  • Utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients
  • Document all patient care
  • Promote customer service initiatives
  • Float throughout all adult ICUs in the facility
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current TN RN licensure
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • ICU, PCU, ENDO, PACU, SDS, PAT, Cath Lab, ED: ACLS required within 6 months
  • PACU & ED: PALS required within 6 months
  • ED Nurses: CPI certification training required within 6 months
