Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist (MD) to join our team at Lowcountry Medical Practice Management. As an Outpatient Psychiatrist, you will provide high-quality psychiatric services to adults and children, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. You will work collaboratively with our team to support clients during their mental health journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric services to include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and children
  • Partner with counselors and therapists to support clients during their mental health journey
  • Participate in continuous communication with other members of the treatment team and the patient to monitor and assess the patient's response to medication and treatment
  • Gain an understanding of mental health laws and state and community agencies and organizations serving the mentally ill and substance abuse
Qualifications
  • MD/DO degree with approved psychiatry residency in adult and general psychiatry
  • Current license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan
  • Knowledge and experience in providing treatment to individuals diagnosed with both serious and persistent mental illness as well as chronic substance abuse
  • Knowledge of mental health laws and state and community agencies and organizations serving the mentally ill and substance abuse
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, use of an electronic medical record system
