Job Summary:

Versiti Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at the Winfield Donor Center. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting whole blood and apheresis products from donors, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and efficient donation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomy collections under direct supervision, adhering to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Interact with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service and delivering an excellent donation experience.
  • Conduct automation, including recognizing and responding to automation reactions, and recruit and convert donors for automation.
  • Rebook donors for future donation appointments and maintain product integrity.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and complete department records as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Less than 1 year of job-related experience, with 1-3 years of relevant people-facing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information, and/or the use of simple equipment, machines, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, apply judgment to written or oral instructions, and organize work to provide productive workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to learn/utilize computer applications.
