Linen Associate

We are seeking a skilled Linen Associate to join our team at HandCraft Services. As a Linen Associate, you will be responsible for distributing clean linen and collecting soiled linen within the hospital. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Linen Distribution: Deliver clean linen orders to departments within the hospital, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Linen Collection: Collect soiled linens from departments within the hospital and consolidate and place linen carts in assigned areas.
- Inventory Management: Order and maintain accurate inventory within the linen room and corresponding hospital(s).
- Quality Control: Verify accuracy of linen orders prior to delivery and ensure linen rooms are clean and well organized at all times.
- Customer Service: Assist Customer Service Reps with urgent requests for linen delivery within the hospital and keep supervisor and/or Customer Service Rep aware of service problems or concerns within the hospital.
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk long distances and push and pull linen carts which can weigh up to 450 pounds.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a hospital or linen distribution setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to maintain accurate inventory and quality control.
