Compensation and Benefits

About the Role

This is a key position within our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of road equipment. You will be tasked with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our vehicles, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and reduce costs.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with diesel equipment
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and other heavy equipment
  • Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
  • Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification
  • Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience in administering appropriate PM programs
  • The ability to read and understand technical and service manuals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers and drivers
