A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Financial Analyst to enhance their team. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will have the chance to engage in a variety of financial tasks. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the accounts receivable process, including reconciliation, invoice management, statement distribution, and price verification in the ERP system.
• Assisting with accounts payable processes, which involves vendor payments, purchase order reviews, discrepancy resolution, check runs, and processing up to 200 payables monthly.
• Contributing to the monthly closing process, including journal entries and general ledger activities.
• Managing sales tax processing.
• Reconciling credit card statements.
• Monitoring daily cash management.
• Providing backup support for payroll as necessary.
• Assisting with accounting enhancements and the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements for the Financial Analyst:
1. A bachelor's degree is preferred; an associate's degree is required.
2. Depending on educational background, 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience is necessary.
3. Familiarity with debits and credits.
4. Experience with reconciliations and journal entries.
5. Involvement in month-end and year-end closing processes.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Preferred Skills (not mandatory):
1. Experience in accounting roles within manufacturing settings.
2. Background in budgeting and forecasting.
3. Familiarity with dashboards such as Cognos, Power BI, etc.
4. Experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable.
5. Knowledge of cash management.
6. Understanding of sales tax regulations.
