The Anesthesia Support Technician plays a vital role in the Operating Room, assisting licensed anesthesia providers in delivering high-quality care to patients. This position is essential for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of anesthesia practices during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Management: Responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and setup of all anesthesia equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Patient Assistance: Support anesthesia providers with patient evaluations, monitoring, transportation, positioning, and the insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines.
- Maintenance Duties: Conduct routine maintenance on anesthesia equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions that may arise.
- Inventory Control: Maintain a sufficient stock of necessary equipment and supplies to facilitate smooth operations.
- Preparation for Procedures: Assist in preparing for scheduled, emergent, and urgent surgical interventions by ensuring all required equipment and supplies are available and in proper working order.
Education: Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, along with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
