Experienced Highway Lighting Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Highway Lighting Foreman to join our team at The Levy Company. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for guiding a team of professionals in the installation of traffic signals, highway lighting, and infrastructure projects within Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the worksite is safe for work and perform all required safety duties
• Underground conduit, mounting devices, installing poles, and drilling caissons
• Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs
• Installation of required equipment, wiring of equipment, and trouble shooting and integration of required equipment
• Record and submit personnel, production, equipment, and other operational data on specified forms, reports, and systems
• Assign work based on employee qualifications and job procedures
• Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools and other equipment

Requirements:

• At least five years of industry experience with at least one year of recent experience erecting highway signage / lighting and traffic signals
• At least two years in a lead role providing guidance and direction to less senior crew members
• Valid class C driver license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highway construction experience
• Previous experience as a foreman
• Valid Texas commercial driver license
• IMSA Level 2 certification

Working Environment:

Work is performed in primarily outdoor environments with constant exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and temperature extremes

Physical Demands:

• Frequent operation of equipment with vibrating and moving parts
• Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate tools, handles, and levers
• Frequent and repeated lifting from ground to various heights up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items
• Frequent and repeated exerting of force up to 100 pounds
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Frequent walking on uneven and / or unpaved terrain
• Frequent climbing steps, ladders, and in/out/onto vehicles
• Frequent and repeated bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and crouching
• Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents
• Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and react to common driving and construction environment noises
