Mental Health Clinician

Community Health Connections is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supervised Masters Level Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide culturally-competent, high-quality care to patients and families, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Culturally Competent Care: Deliver excellent quality care to patients and families, taking into account their unique cultural, social, and emotional needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate, preparing treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Collect data about patients through interview, case history, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques, evaluating data to identify causes of problems and determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Consult with mental health and medical staffs as appropriate, referring clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide and/or arrange for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis condition and for those with serious Mental Health/Substance Abuse problems.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Establish and maintain case files, referrals, and other related documents for the treatment of clients, preparing related documentation for civil commitment hearings or other legal proceedings.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the CHC quality assurance program, ensuring that patient care meets the highest standards.
- Education: Masters degree, or equivalent, in mental health counseling, or clinical/counseling psychology from an accredited mental health related program.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments, proficiency with use of computer (Microsoft Office) as communication and data management tool, ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and understanding of mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards, familiarity with psychological testing, interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills, and knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
