Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Adventist Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. Your expertise will include the use of modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques to help patients achieve optimal physical function and mobility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides physical therapy treatments, including the use of modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques.
  • Instructs and guides patients through functional activities, such as bed mobility, transfers, and gait and balance activities.
  • Observes and follows treatment precautions as identified by physical therapists, nurses, or physicians.
  • Documents patient chart information, including interventions and services provided.
  • Provides education and training to patients and caregivers, incorporating learning style preferences.
Requirements
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Two years' physical therapy or technical experience: Preferred
  • Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
