Overview

We are seeking a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, working under the supervision of attending physicians and following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct initial history and physicals, consultations, and follow-up care as needed, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in scheduled daily rounds, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Adhere to all quality of care measures and patient safety standards, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in scheduled night and weekend call, providing 24/7 coverage for the Intensive Care Unit.
Qualifications
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree in a related field, graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program, and certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in Nursing, certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, and current Massachusetts R.N. registration.
  • Proven ability to care for critically ill adult patients with a broad range of medical problems, demonstrating maturity, self-confidence, and the ability to follow complex patient management plans.
  • Over three years up to and including five years of experience in critical care, with a preference for candidates with experience in the Intensive Care Unit.
