Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Wayne. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists residents in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide food and beverage services, including meal preparation and serving
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties, including cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms and common areas
  • Manage resident behavior, including responding to emotional and psychological needs
  • Encourage socialization and participation in activities, including recreational and educational programs
  • Provide orientation and information to residents and families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly; Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations; Must successfully complete the required Springhouse's/Arden Courts' training
Physical Demands:

The Certified Nursing Assistant must be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances.
