This position entails managing the procurement activities for the manufacturing and distribution of switchboards and switchgear products. The Supply Chain Procurement Manager is tasked with overseeing the sourcing and acquisition of both direct and indirect materials, along with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies.

Salary Range:

  • $90k - $120k plus a potential bonus of 10%. (This salary range serves as a guideline. The final compensation will be determined based on experience and relevance to the industry.)

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Formulating and executing strategies to enhance inventory management, minimize expenses, and expedite lead times for acquired components and services.
  • Overseeing supplier partnerships, negotiating pricing and contractual terms, and evaluating supplier performance to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality goods.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to predict demand, support production timelines, and ensure sufficient inventory levels.
  • Assessing market dynamics, performing competitive analysis, and pinpointing opportunities for cost efficiencies and process enhancements.
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Issuing and monitoring purchase orders.
  • Ensuring adherence to sourcing policies with complete compliance.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships for purchase order execution, scheduling modifications, and ERP updates.
  • Negotiating with selected suppliers in accordance with established policies to secure optimal contractual terms while ensuring satisfaction for internal stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance to functional managers on projects, processes, and procedures within the field.
  • Facilitating communication with colleagues and the business regarding design and coordination services provided.
  • Demonstrating excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exhibiting the ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Possessing a proactive attitude with enthusiasm and a desire to innovate.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes, both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the electrical components manufacturing sector.
  • A proven history of effectively managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, achieving cost reductions in the supply chain, and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with supply chain best practices and tools, along with experience in leading their implementation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and supply chain management software.
