Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Director to join our team at Amarillo Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for leading our pharmacy department and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the pharmacy department, including supervising staff and coordinating daily operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and nursing to provide quality and cost-effective drug therapies to patients.
  • Participate in the hospital's Antibiotic Stewardship Program to promote patient safety and public health.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including training and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a pharmacist in the state of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree strongly preferred.
  • Previous management training or equivalent managerial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state-specific laws/regulations governing pharmacy practice, including controlled substances regulations.
  • Competency with age groups served by this hospital.
