Heavy Highway Superintendent

Job Title: Superintendent (Heavy Highway)

Job Summary:

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee heavy highway and roadway projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise skilled trades crews and manage onsite construction activities for large, complex projects.
• Collaborate with operations managers, project managers, and engineers to ensure project success.
• Develop and implement safety protocols, production plans, and profitability strategies.
• Assist with interviewing and training employees, and address employee complaints and issues.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material needs for crews, and schedule subcontractors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in construction field management, with a strong background in heavy highway and roadway construction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team of varied trade disciplines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to create schedules and pre-planning documents.
