About the Role

This is a leadership position that ensures the site maintains consistent focus on supplying our customers and patients quality product, on time and in full, meeting the supply requirements of both internal and external demand.

You will lead the site-wide planning process, integrating the manufacturing site into the Global supply network, supporting and influencing network decisions through the Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process in order to meet the supply requirements of both local and global demand.

This role will represent the department during critical investigations, projects, internal, customer and regulatory audits. The position ensures a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant production with efficient processes.

This role is located in our manufacturing facility and requires very little travel. You will report to the Vice President, Site Head Supply Chain Operations with a dotted line to the Vice President, Manufacturing and Site Head of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage all production-related activities of the department to optimize the production processes (processes, staff, material and equipment).
  • Develop and implement policies and practices to ensure 1) the time and quantity-oriented manufacture of the required products and 2) a compliant production (c-GMP, safety, environmental protection, health care) continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes (processes, equipment, layouts) and for cost reduction.
  • Ensure appropriate production conditions regarding staff (quantity, qualifications, training) and space (processes, equipment, facilities) to meet the short and long-term production requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in science, technology or supply chain management or comparable completed professional training with minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry with specific knowledge in supply chain management, production planning, master data management, business applications and project management preferably in integration projects.
  • Masters degree preferred, MBA desirable.
  • Very strong knowledge in supply chain management, supply chain processes and IT systems as well as in the SAP module PP and FI/CO.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and understanding of business value drivers.
  • Years managerial experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biological industry.
