KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fosters a vibrant atmosphere of customer engagement, emphasizing prompt and courteous service.
- Guides customers with product recommendations, special requests, and culinary suggestions.
- Handles incoming calls with professionalism, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
- Utilizes suggestive selling techniques through various communication channels, including phone and in-person interactions.
- Assists customers with custom orders for cakes and bakery products, ensuring personalization and adherence to specifications.
- Shapes and sizes cakes as per requirements, applying icing and creating decorative designs, including the use of a flower nail for intricate decorations.
- Maintains quality by properly storing both completed and in-progress cakes.
- May perform tasks such as slicing bread and preparing a variety of bakery items, including proofing, baking, and icing.
- Implements effective product demonstration and packaging methods.
- Ensures cleanliness and visual appeal of the bakery display, managing inventory levels and maintaining sanitation standards.
- Monitors temperature controls throughout all stages of preparation, display, and storage.
- May assist in conducting physical inventory assessments on a regular basis.
- Manages inventory to guarantee sufficient product availability, quality, and freshness, while adhering to company guidelines.
- Understands and follows opening and closing procedures for the department.
- Constructs appealing displays, ensuring the rotation and disposal of outdated or spoiled products.
- Familiar with company policies and guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Ensures compliance with proper code dating for all products within the department.
- Demonstrates the ability to adhere to departmental standards.
- Implements promotional and seasonal displays effectively.
- Handles receiving duties, including verifying orders, inspecting quality, and maintaining accurate records.
- Completes and monitors necessary documentation, including daily logs and production charts.
- Manages shrinkage and cost control measures.
- Ensures compliance with temperature regulations for all products.
- Adheres to workplace safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, including compliance with code dating requirements.
- Implements emergency procedures as needed for equipment malfunctions.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
