About the Role

Atrium Health Union is a 182-bed hospital in Monroe, NC, providing comprehensive emergency services and specialty medical care. Our campus offers a variety of medical services, including a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children's center, interventional heart program, and physician practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiopharmaceutical, computers, and scintillation detection equipment on a technical level, not requiring constant supervision.
  • Perform Nuclear medicine examinations under the direction of the Radiologist.
  • Prepare, administer, and document diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Obtain medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine Technology Program in an AMA-approved facility is required.
  • Registration by either the ARRT (N) or NMTCB, or, if a new graduate, must be registry eligible and registered within 1 year of hire date.
  • One year of direct patient care work experience is preferred.
