Job Summary

MFS Talent is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality surgical services and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' medical conditions and histories, conduct thorough physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests to diagnose surgical conditions and determine the need for surgery.
  • Perform a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, colon surgeries, and various other abdominal, breast, and soft tissue surgeries.
  • Explain the surgical procedure, potential risks, and alternatives to patients, obtaining their informed consent before surgery.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, which may involve prescribing preoperative medications, providing instructions for fasting, and ensuring patients are in optimal health for the procedure.
  • Monitor patients in the postoperative period, providing appropriate care, managing pain, and addressing any complications that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other medical specialists, including anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other surgeons, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct postoperative follow-up appointments to assess patients' recovery and address any issues or complications that may arise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Emergency pediatrics experience requested.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California or compact state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
