**Meaningful Part-Time Opportunity for Optometrists/Ophthalmologists**

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process in Ballentine, SC.

This is a rewarding non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.

  • Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.

As a Comprehensive Eye Exams Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Veterans by assisting with their healthcare assessments.

**About the Role**

The ideal candidate is:

  • A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
  • Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.
  • Passionate about serving Veterans.
  • Skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
  • Exceptional in both written and oral communication.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.

**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Benefits**

We offer a flexible work schedule of part-time commitment of Mondays & Wednesdays 8a-4p as an independent contractor. Enjoy autonomy in a 1099 role and focus on assessments without treatment or determination responsibilities.
