Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Tool Instructor to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Machine Tool Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of machine tool technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver instructional materials, including course syllabi and lesson plans, to ensure students receive a comprehensive education in machine tool technology.
  • Provide hands-on training and instruction in machine tool operations, including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to ensure students meet the required standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in machine tool technology to ensure curriculum remains relevant and effective.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline or associate's degree with demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
  • Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or related industrial discipline.
  • Proficient with Mastercam CAD/CAM software.
  • Five years of direct experience in the machining trade.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in operating Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
  • Knowledge of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machines.
