Position OverviewThe Clinical Nurse is a licensed professional who delivers safe and effective nursing care based on established nursing theories and research. This role involves working with a designated group of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive patient care by applying the principles of Relationship Centered Care and utilizing the nursing process. Assess and evaluate patient needs while employing critical thinking in care management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and assess care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure safe patient-centered care, identifying areas for improvement and engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
- Professional Development: Commit to ongoing learning and clinical competence, contributing to a supportive environment for colleagues and patients.
- Current NYS RN License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Services
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC system is highly desirable
